Facebook

I hate to sound archaic but I just set up a Facebook account—and I still am not sure what I am doing.  However, there is great value in “networking” as evidenced by this and many other blogs.  Over fifteen years ago, I’d attend several poetry venues while living in Boston, Massachusetts and that was the manner in which we networked.  We’d go out for drinks or coffee afterward, smoke our clove cigarettes and pontificate.  Now I sit at my computer (after sitting at one all day for work) and read blogs and add entries to mine and see what other writers do and think.

So far it has been both interesting and entertaining.

If you’d like to be my “friend” (and please forgive the pleading way that sounds), look for me on Facebook.  I am H.B. Berlow

  2. I’m on Facebook too, but have mixed feelings about it. I hope you find it useful.

    1. For the time being, it is a source of fascination. Once I figure out how to properly use it then I can determine if it is indeed useful. It’s like blogging: there is effort involved but it is a source of connectivity, transfer of information, perhaps even inspiration. I prefer a good old handshake and several hours of good conversation over cocktails and appetizers. This will have to do.

    1. I feel like a wallflower who has entered a MASSIVE party and is just hoping there’s an open bar. I’m hoping for the best. Thanks.
